Recovery in Hurricane Homeowners Insurance Case
We recently obtained a partial settlement of a property insurance claim for a business owner whose office building and business were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The insurance company initially denied the claim alleging that the business was destroyed by flood waters. The case was successfully settled because we proved that wind was a substantial contributing cause in the destruction of the office building. The settlement allowed the business owner to reopen. We are is still working for the business owner for full recovery of a separate business loss claim against an insurance carrier.
